Overview
The Bachelor of Information Technology at Victoria University Sydney is a three-year course with a personalised learning experience. We focus on areas with high job demand such as web/mobile app development and ICT management.
Our learning facilities include the latest technology such as CISCO routers and switches, Amazon cloud servers and virtualisation (Hyper-V) infrastructure.
All students undertake the same first-year subjects, followed by major studies (eight units) in years two and three. Choose from:

Course structure
To attain the Bachelor of Information Technology, students will be required to complete 288 credit points (equivalent to 24 units), consisting of:
- 96 credit points (equivalent to eight units) of Common Core first year studies;
Plus:
- Ninety-six credit points (equivalent to eight units) of Major studies (from the list below);
- Forty-eight credit points (equivalent to four units) of Graduating Core studies;
And:
- Forty-eight credit points (equivalent to four units) of Minor studies (discipline or breadth, from the list below).

If you've completed any of the following course(s) at VU, you'll be guaranteed a place in this degree. In some cases you may receive credit for your previous study, reducing the time it takes to complete your course.

If you've completed study with another university or institution and believe you're eligible to receive credit for skills and past study, you can apply for advanced standing.
